Who We Are
We are a congregation in Buena Park, gathering each week to worship God, learn from Scripture, and walk alongside one another through all seasons of life.
Our community is multigenerational and rooted in grace. Some have been here for decades. Others are just finding their way. Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome here.
We believe faith grows best in community, through honest teaching, shared prayer, and lives shaped by love and service.
Our History
First Congregational Church of Buena Park was established in 1888, when a small group of believers gathered with a shared hope to serve Christ in a growing town. Over the years, the church has changed in many ways, but its heart has remained the same.
For more than 135 years, we have worshipped, served, and cared for one another, seeking to live faithfully in the life of this community. Our history is not only about the past. It continues each Sunday, with every person who walks through our doors.

Leadership
John Peters
Pastor
John Peters was raised in Orange County and currently lives in Westminster, CA with his wonderful wife and their precious daughter. He's extremely happy to be able to serve the people of FCC as pastor! John's goal is to help people gain a deep and abiding sense that Jesus accepts and forgives them to build them up on the inside and help them fulfill their callings in life with an increased sense of joy and contentment. A graduate of Talbot School of Theology (Biola University), John helps people understand the Bible and the life of the church as part of the Lord's work to comfort, bless, encourage them along the way!
